Ha Long Bay

Hundreds of limestone mountains that rise vertically from the calm and beautiful blue water surface. Halong Bay is a gem on earth and moreover a miracle of mother nature. Sail through the fairyland of steep cliffs and discover caves and private beaches. In any case, it will not be the environment!

Hoi An Ancient Town

Hoi An is known for its cozy atmosphere with the mix of Japan, China and French. Walk around and notice the wooden Chinese shophouses and temples, the Japanese bridge with its pagoda and the French colonial buildings!

Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum

Ho Chi Minh, also known for ‘Uncle Ho’, is the most iconic and popular leader of Vietnam. The Mausoleum in Ba Dinh Square is his final resting place where his body is preserved in a glass case overseen by an honor guard of four sentries.

The almost 120 kilometers long tunnels were built during the war when the Vietcong fought the French. You can visit them today as a museum where you can walk around and learn about history. The Vietnamese have made some tunnels bigger, so that the tourist can experience what it is like to go through the tunnels. There is also a shooting range where you can shoot a M16. Go with a tour or by yourself!

War Remnant Museum (HCMC)

This museum reminds you about the cruelty of the war. There are more than 20.000 documents, exhibits and films stored that will tell you everything about the history. All the weapons were used by America against the Vietnamese. That is why the museum first was called ‘Museum of American War Crimes’.

You probably didn’t expect sand dunes in Vietnam, but there is! Red and white fascinating sand that will blow your mind away. A popular time to see the dunes is around sunset. The sand becomes intense fiery red which creates an amazing scenery. Besides that, you can do fun activities, such as sandboarding and kite flying. Go by yourself or take a tour!

Cannon Fort (Cat Ba Island)

A fortress from the French era that was used in the Vietnam War as a defense. It is an interesting historical sight that you can find at the top of the mountain. The view is beautiful and panoramic, where you can see every detail of the island of Cat Ba.

Unfortunately, it was bombed during the Tet offensive in 1968 and only 20 of the 148 buildings survived. They are slowly restoring it, but it is still worth a visit!

In the heart of the park is Ba Be Lake which is the largest and highest natural freshwater lake in Vietnam.

Japanese bridge (Hoi An)

A beautiful bridge of Japanese architecture that was built in the 18th century. People say it was made by the Japanese who lived in Hoi An to reach the Chinese quarter on the other side of the water. They started building the bridge in the Chinese year of the dog and completed it in the year of the monkey. That is why the bridge represents two dogs and two monkeys.
