Vietnam has its highlights that are amazing, but also incredible hidden places that should be loved.

Ba Be National Park

A stunning area of rich biodiversity and unique landscapes. With 10.048 ha and many different ecosystems plenty to show. The ground and surrounding mountains are made up mainly of limestone karst which is characteristic of the north of Vietnam, and the forests consist of mostly evergreen vegetation with bamboo growing closer to banks of the lake. In the heart of the park is Ba Be Lake which is the largest and highest natural freshwater lake in Vietnam.

Cat Tien National Park

Cat Tien National Park is located in the transition zone between Vietnam’s Truong Son Mountain Range (the highlands) and Mekong Delta. Because of its unique location and the existence of 5 different forest types within the park, Cat Tien supports an amazing range of plants and animals. The park is a refuge for species that used to be widespread but now seek shelter within this specially protected area. You can join trekkings but also walk around on your own.

Con Dao Island

A gem on the south coast are the 16 emerald islands of the Con Dao Archipelago, 185 kilometers south of Vung Tau. The most popular is Con Son Island, an island with a relaxed atmosphere with a number of striking colonial buildings, seductive beaches and challenging tours in the mountains. The national park is also worth a visit and the entire area is also suitable for diving. Con Dao was a horror during the French occupation, because here was the most feared prison in all Vietnam. The ghostly remains can still be found and the ruins have now been opened to tourists.
Note: To get to the Con Dao Islands, you can easily take a flight from Saigon. It takes about an hour.

Lan Ha Bay - Cat Ba Island

Only two hours to the south from Ha Long Bay and even called its twin. Lan Ha Bay is an undiscovered and perfect to have an exclusive experience. Get away from the boat crush of Ha Long Bay and enjoy the same amazing scenery with limestone outcrops and clear water!

Pu Luong - Nature Reserve

This is one of the best-reserved species in Vietnam and found in the Northeastern region of Vietnam. It has an incredible nature consisting of limestone panoramas, a rich forest and perfect rice terraces. Still a hidden gem, but increasingly popular with its beauty. Perfect to leave a few days from Hanoi and do trekking!

Mai Chau

Located in the northwest of Vietnam only 135 kilometers from Hanoi. The area consists of beautiful rice fields that alternate with mountains. It is a quiet place where you can relax and enjoy your surroundings. The community of Mai Chau are White and Black Thai who live in traditional stilt houses.

Ha Giang

Ha Giang is the capital of the most remote and least visited province in the north, where Vietnam borders China. Until the early 1990s, the region was the scene of fierce fighting between Vietnam and China and it is still known as 'risky’ area. The residents are quiet and hospitable, but despite that being the victim of disagreements between governments. The village is relatively large and although the buildings are not of great architectural value, the view is impressive. With the surrounding Mo Neo and Cam mountains a visit will surprise visitors. The Lo river cuts right through the center of the city and there are bridges that connect east and west.
Ha Giang has a number of attractions, but the main attraction is the amazing route from Meo Vac to Dong Van: the Dong Van Pas. Both villages are located in valleys, surrounded by rugged mountains and zigzag roads. Think of total silence, buffaloes that make their way through the valley and rivers that continue to wear down the valley every day. The border area is home to several minority groups, including the White Hmong and the Lo Lo, which today only have a few thousand members. There are also markets and viewpoints on the route.

Bai Tu Long

It is also part of the famous Ha Long Bay, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a perfect alternative to Ha Long Bay. With the still water and the total untouched nature you can cruise for hours. Enjoy the incredible rocks coming out of the water, the more than 1500 islands and the beautiful blue / green water.

Phan Rang

The city officially exists from two cities: Phan Rang and Thap Cham. They fused with each other to become the provincial capital. You can visit here the Cham tower and walk around. A true Vietnamese fishing village and 6 kilometer located from Ninh Chu Beach

Vinh Hy

A natural beauty if you talk about Vinh Hy. It is located 30 kilometers from Phan Rang and totally worth to visit. Crystal blue seas with green rolling down rocky outcrops into the water. The nature is untouched and therefore breathtaking!

Long Hai

A seaside resort in the southeast of Vietnam with its busy fishing port and sandy beach. You can also find a temple guarded by two white lion statues. This temple brings every year hundreds of fishing boats to the area.

Phuoc Hai

Just about 90 kilometers from Saigon and still a hidden beauty. Great for a walk through the hills, the beach or for dining delicious seafood. Another hidden gem here is the Whale Cemetery. Fishers believe that whales bring good luck and if one strands or accidentally got caught in a net, they bury it and give the whale its rest. Even months after it died, they get the bones to a permanent resting place.
